Bhubaneswar: As many as four persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Jajpur and Kandhamal districts late Friday night.
In the first incident, three persons were killed when an unidentified vehicle allegedly rammed into a motorcycle near Mahasingh Bridge under Baliguda police limits in Kandhamal district.
According to reports, two of the victims died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries during treatment at Baliguda Sub-Divisional Hospital. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Police have launched an investigation into the case.
In a separate incident, one person died and another was critically injured after a car hit a motorcycle they were travelling in near Ghusuriasahi Bridge in Jajpur. The injured person has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating both cases to determine the exact cause and identify the vehicles involved.
