Four Poachers Arrested In Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary

Baripada: In a joint operation, the Special Task Force and forest officials arrested four poachers from Aswakuti village under Sarat Police limits for unauthorized entry, and carrying weapons without permission inside Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary.

“Four country-made guns, explosives, and other contraband materials were seized. A wildlife offence case has been registered, and the accused will face charges under the Arms Act.  The investigation is underway and they will be forwarded to the CJM Court, informed Samrat Gouda, Deputy Director of Similipal Wildlife.

“An FIR will be lodged against them for violating the Arms Act of 1959 at Kaptipada police station today”, added Gouda.
