Bhubaneswar: Tears of joy streamed down everyone’s face as they gazed at Sudhanya, the little girl who had been left at the Vasundhara orphanage’s door by her biological mother 26 years ago. The tables had turned, and now Sudhanya was back, accompanied by her husband, Dr. Harsha, and in-laws.
Sudhanya’s journey began in 1994 when her mother, in a difficult situation, left her at Vasundhara’s doorstep. But fate had other plans. In 1999, an American couple adopted her, and her life took a new turn. Today, Sudhanya is back in India with her husband and foster mother.
The Vasundhara Ashram was abuzz with joy as Sudhanya and her family arrived. The ashram’s foster mother, Saila, was overwhelmed with happiness, reliving memories of the past. The ashram was decorated with beautiful lights to welcome Sudhanya and her husband.
The reunion was filled with laughter and tears as Sudhanya met her brothers and sisters at the ashram. The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary with the ashram’s inmates and family members. Sudhanya and Harsha expressed their desire to extend a helping hand to Vasundhara orphanage in the future.
The family plans to visit Puri together to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath. For Sudhanya, it’s a moment of closure and a new beginning. As she looks forward to motherhood, she’s grateful for the love and support of her family, both biological and adoptive.
