Mahendragiri

Bhubaneswar: The Gajapati administration on Saturday reopened the popular tourist destination Mahendragiri for visitors, a week after it was closed due to fears of landslides following Cyclone Montha.

The site had been closed from October 25, 2025, to ensure the safety of visitors during and immediately after the cyclone. With the impact of Cyclone Montha now over, the district administration decided to lift the restrictions. Along with Mahendragiri, all restrictions on waterfalls in the district have also been withdrawn.

Tourists are advised to follow safety guidelines while visiting Mahendragiri and other local attractions.
