Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, the Gajapati District Education Office on Tuesday announced the closure of all schools in the district for three days, from April 22 to April 24.
The order applies to all government and private educational institutions, covering classes from Sishu Vatika to Class XII.
According to the District Education Officer (DEO), the closure will not disrupt scheduled examinations. Students appearing for exams will continue to do so as per the existing timetable.
However, examinations for Classes V to VIII will be conducted as per the guidelines issued by the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA).
The DEO further stated that essential administrative activities, including census-related work and routine school operations, will continue despite the restrictions.
