Dhenkanal: Police on Friday night arrested four persons on charges of gambling from Pijuli Bagicha area in Korian under Dhenkanal Town police limits.
The accused persons have been identified as Mangulia Sethi (30), Chandrakant Sahoo (41), Kuna Roul (38) and Sudhakar Sahoo (54), police said.
Police have seized Rs 54,820 in cash, five mobile phones, six motorcycles, playing cards, a piece of tarpaulin, etc from their possession.
Police said that the accused persons have been forwarded to the SDJM Court here today following their arrest.
Further investigation in the case is underway, police added.
