Bhubaneswar: General darshan of the sibling deities at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri will remain suspended for three hours today for the observance of ‘Diba Pahuda’ niti.
According to a special notice issued by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the ‘Diba Pahuda’ ritual will be performed at the temple today. Though ‘Diba Pahuda’ is a daily ritual during the holy month of Kartik, it could not be conducted every day due to heavy rush of devotees and a large number of rituals in the Kartik month.
Since the weather is not favourable and the crowd of devotees is less today, the general darshan will remain closed tentatively from 4 pm to 7 pm after the completion of the second Bhog Mandap niti for the ‘Diba Pahuda’ ritual, the temple administration informed.
The administration has sought cooperation from all devotees.
