Balasore: A young girl was reportedly attacked with a blade by her male friend near a shopping mall at Balasore Station Chhaka under Sahadevkhunta police limits in Balasore district on Monday.
According to reports, the girl sustained injuries and was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Balasore. Her condition is stated to be stable.
Preliminary reports suggest the youth attacked her over a one-sided love affair while in an intoxicated state. On being informed, Sahadevkhunta police reached the spot, detained the accused, and launched an investigation into the incident.
