Bhubaneswar: Managing Director of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC) Rupwant Singh today met with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan to discuss the status and progress of the company’s coal blocks in Odisha.
During the meeting, Singh also proposed several projects to be undertaken in the state.
In the discussion, Singh put forward a proposal to construct a modern hospital, two schools, and an IT park in Odisha.
Chief Minister Majhi expressed satisfaction with the proposal, stating that it would contribute significantly to the state’s development. It was noted during the meeting that further discussions regarding these proposals would take place in the coming days.
Notably, GMDC has taken up the responsibility of managing the Baitarani West and Burapahad coal blocks in Odisha.
The meeting included a detailed review of the current status, progress, and future plans for these two coal blocks.
