Bhubaneswar: A team of the CID-Crime Branch of the Odisha police along with scientific experts today visited Ward no. 1 of Kantabanji Sub-Jail where deceased Gobinda Sahu was staying, said an official press release.
According to the press release, the Ward was earlier sealed by the Jail authorities and was opened today by the CID-Crime Branch team in presence of witnesses observing all formalities.
During the search, a bunch of documents including some handwritten papers, medicine files, FIR copy and Final Form related to the case vide Sindhekela police station case No. 97/2021 have been seized.
Further daily medicine issue registers and personal file of UTP Gobinda Sahu have also been seized. Some inmates and seizure witnesses have been examined.
The location of 16 numbers of CCTV installations have been verified and requisition has been placed with the jail authorities for production of CCTV footages.
The enquiry is on and the entire team is camping at Kantabanji. Considering the sensitivity of the case and need for a thorough enquiry AN Sinha, IGP CID-CB is also camping at Kantabanji.
