Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, members of the Council of Ministers, and vice-chancellors of various government and private universities attended a special listening session of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at the New Inauguration Hall of Lok Bhavan here on Sunday.
Among those present were Health & Family Welfare, Parliamentary Affairs, and Electronics & Information Technology Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, School & Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, and Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj. Vice-chancellors, registrars of universities, senior government officials, and eminent educationists from across the state also participated in the programme.
In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted a range of issues of national importance, including preparedness for summer floods, water conservation, India’s achievements in sports, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the role of youth in nation-building. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing environmental challenges and fostering social development.
The programme served as a platform for bringing together the state’s political leadership, academic community, and administrative officials. Participants listened attentively to the Prime Minister’s views and initiatives aimed at promoting public awareness, civic responsibility, and national progress.
The event reflected the continued engagement of various stakeholders in disseminating and discussing issues highlighted through the Prime Minister’s outreach programme.
