Bhubaneswar: Setting an example, a groom arrived at his marriage venue on a bicycle while the ‘barajatri’ or groom’s party walked to the place. Such a marriage was held in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar.
Subhranshu Samal and Sipra of Unit-III area in Bhubaneswar tied the knot with the blessings of family members and well-wishers at a wedding mandap on Bhubaneswar-Puri Road near Ravi Talkies.
Prior to the wedding, Subhranshu had expressed his desire to arrive at the venue on a bicycle. The bride’s family members agreed to his request. Subhranshu had reportedly taken the decision due to the rise in prices of oil and essential commodities.
