Bhadrak: A newly married youth and villagers at Kasia in Basudevpur block of Bhadrak district were in for a surprise when they discovered that the bride is actually a male in disguise.
Reportedly, Alok Kumar Mistri of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal had come in contact with Meghna Mandal of Ramnagar village under Jambu Marine Police limits in Kendrapara on Facebook.
During regular chatting and sharing of photos, they fell in love with each other and decided to marry. After marrying Meghna at Chandikhole, Alok brought her to his uncle’s house at Kasia in Basudevpur.
In order to welcome the newlyweds, Alok’s uncle threw a feast and invited all near and dear ones. During the feast, Sujata Mandal from Binobabhabenagar recognised Meghana, who is a male in real life and is her nephew whose real name is Meghanada.
After she informed Alok and his uncle, they asked Meghanada’s parents to visit the house. The surprised villagers stripped Meghanada, cut his hair, and made him wear men’s clothes.
As per sources, this is not the first first time and Meghanada had earlier cheated many youths in a similar manner. On getting information, Police rescued Meghanada and handed him over to his family.
