Cuttack: Three people were critically injured in a bomb blast during the Khudurukuni Osha festival in Bishnupur village under Tigiria police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday.
According to reports, tension sparked between two rival groups over the celebration of the Khudurukuni Osha festival last night. Amidst the rivalry, one group hurled crude bombs at the other injuring three people seriously in Bishnupur village. Unconfirmed reports said that bullets were also fired by the rival groups.
The injured, identified as Srinivas Samal, Nilia Raut, and Sagar Gochi, were first taken to the Tigiria Community Health Center. Later, they were shifted to a nearby hospital as their conditions deteriorated, Tigiriya police said.
