Bhubaneswar: The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday for allegedly misbehaving with a girl on the pretext of helping her.

The accused ASI has been identified as Niranjan Jena. He was arrested after the girl filed a complaint against him at the Bhubaneswar GRP station.

According to reports, a resident of Jagatsinghpur, the girl alighted from a train at Bhubaneswar railway station on Monday and was found that her hostel was closed. Helpless, the girl sought help from the RPF. Finding the girl alone, Jena took advantage of the situation and reportedly offered to get her a room at the station. When the girl entered the tool, Jena allegedly locked the door from inside and misbehaved with her.
