Bhubaneswar: A Government Railway Police (GRP) constable was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Monday at his residence in Basanti Colony under Uditnagar police limits of Sundargarh district.
The deceased has been identified as SK Hussain.
According to reports, residents discovered Hussain hanging from a ceiling fan and immediately alerted the police.
A team from Uditnagar Police Station reached the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The motive behind the alleged suicide remains unclear and the police are now investigating the incident.
