Bhubaneswar: Gold deposits have been found in the Adasa-Ramapalli area in Deogarh district in Odisha, Odisha Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena told the Odisha Assembly on Thursday in reply to a question asked by Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
The minister made the revelation during the Question Hour period of the second phase of the Budgest session of the Odisha Assembly today.
Jena said that gold deposit was found by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) in the Adas-Rampalli area while it was exploring the region for copper deposits. “According to geological data, gold is present in this area. Now this mineral block is being prepared for auction,” Jena said.
