Dhenkanal: Suprit Swain, who was pursuing his first-year MBBS course at Vinnytsia National Pirogov Medical University in Ukraine, is finally glad to reach his home at Gobindapur village in Dhenkanal district of Odisha.
Trapped amid the war zone for days together, Swain had finally lost hope of returning home, but due to efforts of the State and Central Government, he was able to reach Delhi via Romania yesterday and finally to his home last night.
He said that time he spent after the outbreak of the war was very critical. Reaching the border on foot and crossing it without the cooperation of the Government was very problematic.
The situation improved after he reached Romania. He thanked the Central and State Government authorities and expressed his gratefulness to his seniors who treated him as a young brother and even had gone hungry to feed him.
