Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, the half-burnt body of a Forest Ranger was recovered from his house at Baramasidanda area under Panchirida section in Nayagarh district on Saturday.
The body of Sisir Sahu was found with burn injuries, and Sahu’s wife was also rescued with injuries.
According to reports, the incident occurred late last night when a fire broke out at Sahu’s residence. His wife raised an alarm, and locals were informed. Upon being informed, the firefighters’ team arrived and brought the fire under control.
Meanwhile, police recovered Sahu’s body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding Sahu’s death are yet to be ascertained. It is unclear whether it was a case of murder or suicide.
