Bhubaneswar: Odisha Works, Law and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Wednesday reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental projects under the Works Department in the Kataka and Baleshwar divisions, directing officials to address bottlenecks and ensure timely completion.
The review covered the status of roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects, with discussions focusing on implementation challenges and measures to accelerate construction.
The minister also reviewed plans for peripheral development, beautification and infrastructure improvement around the famous Mahavinayak Temple in Jajpur, with emphasis on facilities for devotees and tourists.
Development works at Chhatiabat Temple, including widening of approach roads, improving transportation and upgrading surrounding infrastructure, were also discussed.
In the Baleshwar division, Harichandan reviewed the progress of the Baleshwar Ring Road, the road connecting Fakir Mohan Golai with Station Chhak, the Judicial Hub and other road, bridge and infrastructure projects.
Badachana MLA Amar Kumar Nayak, Baleshwar MLA Manas Kumar Dutta, Engineer-in-Chief (Civil) Satyabrata Behera, Chief Engineer Shivabrata Taria, Chief Engineer (Bridge) Prabhas Kumar Majhi and Superintending Engineers of the two divisions attended the meeting.
