Bhubaneswar: The body of a Havildar was found hanging at 6th battalion barracks under mysterious circumstances in OMP Square, Cuttack, on Saturday.
The deceased Havildar has been identified as Trilochan Sethy.
According to reports, Sethy’s duty was scheduled for the day. However, one of his colleagues discovered the hanging body of Sethy in the wee hours of Saturday and informed other employees and police.
Upon being informed, Chauliaganj police rushed to the crime scene and began an investigation into it. Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased Havildar have reached the spot and are being interrogated by police.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), meanwhile. launched an investigation into the incident. The cause of death remains unknown, and police are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.
