Bhubaneswar: The HDFC Bank Ltd recently flagged off a literacy van to promote the government’s flagship loan schemes for farmers and budding entrepreneurs. The event was attended by Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Governor of Odisha, who appreciated the bank’s commitment to serving the rural population and providing easy access to loans and services.
The Governor encouraged bankers to contribute more to society by implementing social security schemes and other flagship programs of the state and central governments. He emphasised the importance of educating customers on financial inclusion in both rural and urban areas.
The Governor also highlighted the need to utilise banking correspondents to amplify central government schemes and enroll more beneficiaries under social security schemes. He stressed the importance of implementing government schemes in true letter and spirit.
The event concluded with the Governor emphasising the benefits of various central government schemes and the need for bankers to contribute to society by implementing these schemes.
