Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell will remain closed on April 27 (Monday) as the state continues to reel under an intense heat wave, prompting authorities to prioritise public safety.

The General Administration and Public Grievances Department announced that the Chief Minister’s public grievance hearing, scheduled to be held near the former Government Primary School (Capital Nursery) at Unit-2 in Ashok Nagar, has been postponed in view of the prevailing weather conditions.

The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to prevent inconvenience and health risks to citizens attending the programme amid soaring temperatures.

The department clarified that people who have already registered their complaints on the Jan Sunani portal need not apply again. A fresh date for the hearing will be notified shortly.

The rescheduled programme details will be communicated through newspapers, television, and other media platforms, ensuring that registered applicants are informed in advance.
