Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions eased in Odisha following light to moderate rainfall or thunderstorm at most places over the districts of north and south Odisha and heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Koraput and Puri.

Only eight places recorded maximum day temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or more.
Boudh remained the hottest place in the State by recording the highest temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius.
The places that recorded maximum day temperatures of 40 degrees or more are Angul (40.1), Jharsuguda (40.8), Sambalpur (40.0), Bolangir (40.0), Jajpur (41.0), Bargarh (40.4), Sonepur (41.7), and Boudh (42.5).
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperatures of 38.2 and 37.4 degrees Celsius.
Koraput was the coolest place with a maximum day temperature of 31.4 degrees Celsius.
