Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for seven districts in Odisha, warning of impending thunderstorms and heavy rainfall within the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 11:45 am, the affected districts include Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Nayagarh.
Residents in these districts are advised to stay informed, take necessary precautions, and be prepared to move to safer places if necessary. The IMD has warned of potential lightning strikes and advised people to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions.
