Bhubaneswar: As many as 21 districts in Odisha are likely to experience heavy rain while some out of those are likely to experience very heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours and light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather agency has warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Angul, Sonepur, Deogarh, and Keonjhar during the next 24 hours.
The agency has issued an ‘Orange’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
Besides, the agency has warned that heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj during the next 24 hours.
The agency has issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
In its forecast for Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood for the next 24 hours, the IMD has said that the sky will generally remain cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershower.
The Low Pressure Area over north Odisha & neighbourhood now lies over north interior Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand & north Chhattisgarh, according to the IMD.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.06.2023 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.06.2023)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at a few places over the districts of South Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
