Heavy Rain To Lash Odisha During Next 7 Days

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall/ thundershowers are likely to lash several places of Odisha during the next seven days under the influence of a low-pressure area over south Bangladesh and the neighbourhood, warned the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar in its mid-day bulletin on Sunday.

Weather forecast for Odisha district during the next seven days:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) and thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, and Kalahandi.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 19.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 20.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur in many places over the districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 20.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 21.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of South Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Bargarh.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 21.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 22.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 22.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 23.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 24.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south Odisha and at a few places over the districts of north Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.08.2024to 0830 hrs IST of 25.08.2024)

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur in many places over the districts of Odisha.
