Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the festival of lights-Diwali, the Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has launched a helpline number 7077796111 to report illegal manufacture, sale and storage of firecrackers.
“We have shared a special helpline number 7077796111 with the public to report any illegal manufacture or storage of firecrackers,” informed Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh today while speaking to reporters here.
Singh said that IICs of all police stations have been instructed to remain alert and to act immediately on getting information on any illegal manufacture or storage of firecrackers.
The IICs have been instructed to verify the information and on confirmation raid the premises and seize such firecrackers.
