Bhubaneswar: High drama unfolded at BJP State headquarters after the party workers especially the supporters of Khurdha BJP leader Kalu Khandayat Rai created ruckus in front of the party office opposing MP Aparajita Sarangi and Chilika MLA Prasant Jagdev.

Hundreds of supporters of Kalu Khandayat Rai raised slogan ‘Jai Sriram’ and demanded before the State leadership not to give ticket to Jagdev in the Khurda area.

On the other hand, Prasant Jagdev intervened in the matter and pacified the situation. He said that he has full support for Kalu Khandayat Rai. “I joined the BJP not for a ticket. Kalu Bhai facilitated my joining. I am a soldier of the BJP. I want Kalu Bhai to contest the poll and I will support him. I have 200% support for Kalu Bhai.”

Similarly, Kalu Khandayat Rai expressed his hope for a ticket from Khurdha. “I have toiled hard for the party for the last five years. As a disciplined worker, I must get a ticket to contest the election. I have a discussion with Manmohan Bhai (State president Manmohan Samal). I am satisfied with his assurance”.
