Higher Education Department Extends CPET Application Deadline To Mar 18

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department, Odisha, has extended the application deadline for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) to March 18, 2026.

The Higher Education Department issued a notification in this regard.

As per reports, initially the last date for submission was March 15.Students can now apply through the SAMS portal until 11:45 PM on March 18. The CPET is mandatory for admission to postgraduate programs in the 2026-27 academic session. The entrance exam will be held from April 27 to May 10, 2026.Selections will be based on marks obtained in the CPET.

As per notification, students can visit the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) to fill out their application forms.

“Students seeking admission into Postgraduate courses for the academic session 2026-27 can submit their Common Application Form (CAF) through the SAMS Portal before the deadline. The CAF Edit link will be enabled on 19th March 2026 from 11:00 AM, allowing applicants to make necessary corrections, if required”, read the notification issued by the Higher Education Department.
