Hit-And-Run Accident Claims Two Lives On NH 16 In Khurda

Bhubaneswar: Two youths were killed after a scooter they were riding was hit by an unknown vehicle near Dadhimachhagadia Square on National Highway 16, under Sadar police limits in Khurda district.

The deceased have been identified as Bikash Baral and Shubhransu Sundaray, both from Sanahantuad village in Banapur.

According to reports, the scooter was heading from Banapur to Bhubaneswar when the accident occurred.

Preliminary findings indicate the collision was intense, with the scooter left badly damaged. The two youths were reportedly heading to for a job interview when they were hit by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene.

Upon being informed, police have seized the scooter and sent the bodies for autopsy. However, the circumstances leading to the accident are unclear, and police investigation is underway to determine the cause of the mishap.
