Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of Lord Jagannath and His sibling deities’ ‘Suna Besha’ ritual, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended his heartfelt greetings to the devotees today.
Taking on his X handle, CM Majhi wrote, “On the auspicious occasion of ‘Suna Besha,’ I extend my heartfelt greetings to all.”
He added, “Chaturdha Murti will give darshan to lakhs of devotees in their rare ‘Rajarajeshwara’ besha from the chariots. On this occasion, I offer my prayer to Mahaprabhu for the happiness and prosperity of all.”
Similarly, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also extended their warm wishes to the devotees.
“Heartfelt greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Suna Besha,” wrote KV Singh Deo, Dy-CM, on his X handle.
“Heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all on the occasion of Chaturdha Murthi’s auspicious Suna Besha. May the blessings of Lord Sri Jagannath bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to all. This is my sincere prayer. Jai Jagannath,” wrote Dy. Pravati Parida.
The Suna Besha, also known as the Rajarajeswara Besha, is the most revered and coveted ornamentation of the deities at the Lord Jagannath Temple, attracting millions of devotees every year.
The ritual is observed after the arrival of the Holy Trinity at Shree Mandir following the completion of the Bahuda Yatra. The ‘Suna Besha’ rituals are carried out while the deities are on their chariots, allowing maximum devotees to have darshan of the Lords.
