Home Minister Amit Shah Awards Ganjam’s Pattapur PS As Second-Best Police Station

Bhubaneswar: The All India DGP/IGP Conference-2024 commenced at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar today. During the conference, Union Home Minister Amit Shah awarded Pattapur Police Station in Ganjam district as the second-best police station in the country.

State DGP YB Khurania attended the conference and expressed his pride and honour in receiving this award for Odisha Police. Under DGP Khurania’s guidance, the police station underwent infrastructure development. On this occasion, DGP Khurania congratulated the officers and employees of the state and district police, including Ganjam SP Suvendu Kumar Patra.

Notably, the Union Home Ministry annually selects police stations across the country for the Best Police Station Award based on various criteria, including crime rate, investigation, case resolution, and provision of quality services to the public.

Patpur police station excelled in all these criteria, making it worthy of the award as the second-best police station. Pattpur police station IIC Sabyasachi Malla received the prestigious award along with a citation from the Union Home Minister.
