Homeguard Killed After Being Hit By Truck In Balasore

Balasore: A homeguard was killed after being hit by a speeding a truck near College Square under Soro police limits in Balasore on Friday.

The deceased homeguard has been identified as Sushant Sethi, a resident of Rupakhanda village under Soro police jurisdiction.

According to reports, Sethi was on his way back from a tea break at the college Square when the truck hit him and fled the scene.

The National Highway patrol team chased the truck and seized it near Simulia, handing it over to Soro police. The driver and helper of the truck have been detained, and an investigation is underway.

Sethi was serving as a homeguard at Soro police station. Police, meanwhile, launched an investigation into it.
