Bhubaneswar: SAI International School marked a profoundly historic moment with the inauguration of the Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Block, a tribute that goes far beyond ceremonial significance.

The occasion fulfilled a long-cherished and deeply treasured dream of the school’s beloved Founder, the late Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, whose vision, values, and gratitude continue to shape the institution’s soul.

The newly inaugurated block stands as a symbol of reverence and fulfilment, born from Dr. Sahoo’s earnest wish to honour Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, Chief Patron of SAI International Education Group, renowned scholar, spiritual thinker, author, and humanitarian. It reflects a sacred bond rooted in faith, guidance, and unwavering trust that quietly but powerfully shaped the journey of SAI International.

The ceremony began with the warm welcome of Guruji by the SAI fraternity.

SAIoneers presented a bouquet as a mark of deep respect and gratitude. Guruji formally inaugurated the academic block and later visited classrooms, engaging with the learning spaces that echo SAI’s commitment to world-class infrastructure grounded in values and wisdom.

Few may fully know the depth of the relationship shared by the Founder and Guruji. At every turning point of life, when dreams took form or challenges loomed, Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo instinctively turned to Guruji for counsel. Guruji did not merely advise.

He stood beside him as a silent strength, offering clarity in moments of doubt and courage in times of uncertainty. The very existence of SAI International School is deeply intertwined with the Founder’s unshakeable faith in Guruji’s wisdom and blessings.

The programme continued at the Indraprastha Auditorium, where Guruji was felicitated amidst a reflective and celebratory atmosphere. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a soulful performance by the SAI Choir set the tone for a day steeped in gratitude and remembrance. A special video presentation highlighted Guruji’s life, philosophy, and contributions, offering insight into the values that continue to guide the institution.

In her welcome address, Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International Education Group, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Guruji for being the guiding force behind the Founder’s vision.

She reflected, “The inauguration of the Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Block is a moment of great pride and gratitude for the entire SAI fraternity. Guruji’s wisdom, vision, and lifelong commitment to humanity continue to guide our educational philosophy. This block stands not merely as an infrastructure milestone, but as a living embodiment of values, knowledge, and holistic learning that we strive to impart to every SAIoneer.”

In his address, Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy spoke with characteristic humility, saying, “My relationship with SAI has never been about position, but always about purpose. I do not see myself as a patron; I see myself as a teacher, and I will always remain one. I continue to learn every day from everyone around me.” He expressed deep appreciation for the students’ performances, calling them “graceful and soulful, reflecting the strong cultural and value-based foundation of this institution.”

Recalling the early years, he reflected, “I remember when the idea of starting this school was first conceived. The vision and countless ideas of my student Bijaya were remarkable, and his determination unwavering. Today, Dr. Silpi Sahoo carries this dream forward with dedication, ensuring that his vision continues to evolve and flourish.”

The inauguration, held on the eve of Guruji’s birthday, made the occasion even more meaningful. It became a celebration of a life that has shaped countless lives. Though the Founder, Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, is no longer present in person, the SAI fraternity firmly believes that he bore witness to this moment from above, his heart full and his dream finally complete.

The inauguration of the Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Block is not merely the unveiling of an academic structure. It is a day of remembrance, gratitude, and fulfilment. A red-letter day that will remain forever etched in the soul of SAI International School, standing as a living embodiment of values, wisdom, and enduring legacy.
