Bhubaneswar: Housing & Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and controlling tobacco consumption on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.
Standing in front of the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital, Mahapatra stressed the need for a clean and healthy environment, particularly in medical premises.
The Minister instructed the district administration and Chief District Medical Officer to take immediate action to ban tobacco products within the hospital premises. He also appealed to the public to refrain from consuming gutkha and other tobacco products, highlighting the detrimental effects of these substances on public health.
Mahapatra’s initiative underscores the government’s commitment to promoting public health and well-being.
