Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths recovered significant assets during the ongoing raids on the properties linked to Dhanurdhar Biswal, Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent at VIMSAR, Burla, in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Till the last reports, Vigilance teams have unearthed two buildings, including a double-storeyed residential house measuring approximately 1,650 sqft at Dhankauda in Sambalpur, and another building at Gudesinga. Besides this, 20 valuable plots on the outskirts of Sambalpur town have also been found in the name of Biswal and his family members.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently measuring and assessing the value of the buildings and plots.
Other assets recovered so far include cash amounting to Rs 19.72 lakh, one hyva truck, one four-wheeler (Renault Kiger), two tractors and three two-wheelers.
Weighment of gold jewellery is underway, while details of bank deposits, postal savings, and other financial investments are being verified.
Notably, this is the second major Vigilance operation in Sambalpur today, following similar raids on another VIMSAR employee, Aswini Meher.
