Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said that he was in good health and all set to serve the people of Odisha as always. Dismissing the rumours about his health conditions, the Chief Minister said, “Whenever there are elections there are these rumours. But I could assure you that I am in perfect health and committed to serve the people of Odisha.”
The Chief Minister was speaking to journalists after offering prayers to Lord Lingaraj at the Lingaraj Temple here on Friday evening. Following the darshan, Naveen said, “Whenever there are these rumours you can be assured that the Biju Janata Dal is going to do well.”
The Chief Minister went inside the shrine and offered prayers to the Lord in the presence of Secretary to CM (5T), VK Pandian, Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi, security personnel, and senior Sevayats of Lingaraj Temple. The CM took a look at the Ekamra project under which the exteriors of the Lingaraj temple have been beautified.
Before leaving the premises, Naveen said, “I request you all to adhere to COVID-19 protocols. COVID-19 is still very much there so we all need to follow the guidelines like wearing masks and maintaining social distance.” The CM refused to comment on ongoing Panchayat Polls saying, “I would not like to comment as the model code of conduct is in force.”
