Khordha: The Excise Department officials destroyed about 6,800 litres of jaggery wash and 410 litres of Illicitly Distilled (ID) liquor during a raid at two villages under Begunia police limits of Khordha district on Saturday.
Khordha, Begunia, and Jatni excise staff conducted raids at three places in Manibandha and Dadarakanth villages and seized the above items including the distillation apparatus. The approximate value of the seized articles was Rs 3.81 lakh.
All the seized properties were destroyed at the spot due to the inconvenience to bring them.
