Bhubaneswar: Jay Dholakia, son of former BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia, today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and vowed to continue his social work for the development of Nuapada.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Dholakia expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, and state party leaders for welcoming him into the party.
Dholakia said he was inspired by PM Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Odisha” and the party’s ideology. He emphasized that development is a continuous process and pledged to work towards making Nuapada a top district, a dream shared by his late father and the Chief Minister.
“I had sworn on the 10th day ritual of my late father that I will continue to work for the betterment of society, and I will do so till my last breath,” Dholakia said. He assured the people of Nuapada that he would discharge his duties assigned by the party and work towards their welfare.
