Cuttack: Commissionerate Police, officials of the District Administration and the Office of the Chief District Medical Officer on Wednesday conducted a joint raid at a sex determination centre operating illegally from a rented building in Roxy Lane Mulia Colony of Cuttack City.
According to reports, the owner of the sex determination centre has, however, managed to flee the spot. Police is questioning the house owner and staff of the sex determination centre.
Two teams of the Health Department continued with their raids in the Badambadi area of the city. Till reports last came in simultaneous raids were underway at three locations in the area.
During the raid, a few objectionable pieces of equipment and medicines were detected.
