Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a fishermen warning for the Odisha coast, predicting rough sea conditions over the next five days.
According to the IMD bulletin issued on July 13, 2026, squally weather with wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is very likely to prevail along and off the Odisha Coast from July 13 to July 17, 2026. Due to the strong winds, the sea condition is likely to remain rough to very rough along and off the Odisha Coast during the same period. In view of the adverse weather, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea along and off the Odisha Coast from July 13 to July 17, 2026.
Authorities have asked fishermen who are already at sea to return to shore and coastal residents to remain cautious.
