Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a nowcast warning forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds of up to 40 kmph in parts of Odisha within the next three hours.
According to the IMD bulletin issued at 6:50 pm, adverse weather conditions are very likely to occur at one or two places in seven districts of the state during this period.
The districts under alert include Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Kendujhar, Sundaragada, Nayagada, Malkangiri, Gajapati, and Kataka (including Kataka city).
The IMD has advised people to remain alert and keep a close watch on weather updates, as conditions may further deteriorate in some areas.
