Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a yellow nowcast warning for Bhubaneswar and Kataka cities, forecasting light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning and squally surface winds of 30-40 kmph at isolated places over the next three hours.
The warning, issued by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, at 7.10 pm on October 27, covers 12 districts of Odisha, including Khordha, Kataka, Kendrapada, Jagatsingpur, Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Anugola, Debagada, Sambalpur, Nayagada, Nuapada and Boudh.
The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on changing weather conditions and plan accordingly to ensure their safety.
