Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a ‘Yellow’ warning for hot and humid conditions likely to prevail over several districts of Odisha until May 17.
According to the mid-day weather bulletin, hot and humid conditions are expected at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj on May 13.
The IMD has further forecast similar weather conditions in the same districts—excluding Keonjhar—on May 14. The situation is likely to persist on May 15, with Dhenkanal also expected to experience hot and humid weather.
A ‘Yellow’ warning remains in effect across the affected regions through May 17. The public is advised to take necessary precautions, especially vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children, and those with health conditions.
