Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thunderstorm activities in several parts of Odisha and issued yellow warning till September 17.
For Sunday, the IMD has issued yellow warning for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching up to 30 to 40 kmph very likely at one or two places over Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh.
For Monday, heavy rainfall is very likely at one or two places over Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati. Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind of 30 to 40 kmph is also likely over Baleshwar, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagarh.
On September 15, heavy rainfall is very likely at one or two places over Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati.Similarly, on September 16, heavy rainfall warning continues for Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati districts.
On September 17, yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Gajapati.
