Bhubaneswar: Light rain is likely to occur in select districts of Odisha over the next few days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In IMD’s midday bulletin issued on Thursday, the weather agency has forecasted light rain at one or two places in the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal. Dry weather is expected to prevail in the rest of the state during this period.
The IMD has also issued a ‘Yellow’ alert, cautioning about shallow to moderate fog in districts such as Jajpur, Kendrapada, Khurda, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Rayagada over the next 24 hours.
For Bhubaneswar and its surrounding areas, the forecast predicts fog or mist in the morning, followed by a partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 25°C and 17°C, respectively during the next 24 hours.
The weather agency has projected dry weather across Odisha on Friday. However, on Saturday, light rain is expected in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj, while dry weather will likely continue in other districts.
Looking ahead to Sunday, light rain may occur in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and Sundargarh, while dry conditions are expected to persist across the remaining districts.
