Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for fishermen, advising them not to venture into the sea along and off the Odisha coast on June 22 and 23 due to squally weather conditions.
According to the IMD forecast, squally weather with wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, is very likely to prevail along and off the Odisha coast on both days. The sea condition is expected to remain rough to very rough during this period.The weather department has specifically cautioned fishermen against going out to sea along and off the Odisha coast on June 22 and June 23.
The regional weather office has urged those already out at sea to return to shore immediately and ensure their boats are safely anchored.
