Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to form over the south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on November 27 and it is likely to move west-northwestwards and subsequently intensify into a depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal around November 29. Some regions of Odisha may experience light to moderate rainfall under the influence of the depression in the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its midday bulletin on Sunday.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall occurred in one or two places in Rayagada of south interior Odisha, while dry weather prevailed over the rest of the districts of Odisha. Dense fog occurred in one or two places over Phulbani, and shallow to moderate fog occurred in one or two places over Rourkela and Bhawanipatna.
The minimum temperatures (night temperatures) observed a marked fall in one or two places over the districts of north interior Odisha, an appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of south interior Odisha, and no major change elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places, and normal elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 32.2°C was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest minimum temperature of 12.4°C was recorded at Keonjhar in the plains of Odisha.
