Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to light to moderate rain or thunderstorm at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, and Gajapati over the next 24 hours.
Further, the IMD has warned of thunderstorms with lightning over one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj. The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow Warning’ for the aforementioned districts.
According to the IMD over the next 24 hours, the sky in Bhubaneswar and its neighbourhood will remain partly cloudy with the possibility of development of thunder/lightning, while maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 40 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
The weatherman has further predicted that there will be no large change in maximum temperature during the next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.
Maximum temperature will be more than 400C at many places and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days, it added.
IMD has advised the public to take precautionary measures for hot weather conditions while going outside during the daytime (11 AM-3 PM).
